Dr. Spencer Smith
Born in Panama, Florida, Dr. Smith brings years of dental skills and expertise to help his patients achieve healthy bites while building and regaining their self-confidence in the process. He understands the great impact a smile can have on a person’s quality of life, and he loves providing the proper treatment for reaching a patient’s dream look. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Smith first decided to pursue a career in dentistry due to his various interests and the possibility of combining many of them into one occupation. For instance, he’s always been passionate about doing things with his hands while also excelling in science, biology, and creative art. However, it was when he realized how numerous patients benefited and had their lives improved through dentistry that he grew an immense respect and appreciation for the work. Since then, helping patients has been the most important factor to him, and he feels incredibly grateful and fulfilled whenever he’s in the office treating pearly whites.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Smith first attended the University of Florida and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. Afterward, he studied at the University of Florida College of Dentistry to earn his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry. During his time in dental school, he was chosen to lead a dental mission trip to Palin, Guatemala, where he worked in a charity clinic for a local church. Today, he constantly seeks advanced training in various specialty areas, including Invisalign, hard/soft tissue surgery, implant dentistry, and esthetic restorative dentistry.
Other than continuing education, Dr. Smith is also a proud and active member in various organizations, such as:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
If you don’t find him at the office, Dr. Smith spends much of his time with his wonderful wife, Taylor, whom he met at the University of Florida! Together, they enjoy traveling to new places to explore, such as Yosemite and Redwood National Park—they recently went on a trip to Europe, visiting Paris, France, and Florence, Italy. They also have their beautiful daughter, Blake, who they’re excited to share their favorite places to visit with. In his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys going to the gym, trying new restaurants, cooking, playing video games, and showing his daughter all of his favorite things he loved growing up. One fun fact about him: he used to be a part-time gig drummer at a dueling piano bar in Gainesville, Florida!
